Dear APES Students,
Thank you for your patience and commitment to learning during this unusual time. As of our workday today (3/16) and in light of new information from the College Board, we will proceed with our course in the following manner. I will continue to post supplementary information, activities and assignments on a suggested timeline on this webpage. These posts will be updated on a weekly basis. However, I will not be asking that you submit any new assignments to me for grading for the next two weeks. Instead, you may keep all additional work in your notebooks to supplement your understanding of the curriculum. Your Land Use and Urbanization unit concept questions and 2nd Marking Period Flashcards are exemptions since they were assigned prior to us leaving school, but you will maintain these until we meet again. We will revisit how instruction will be done moving forward two weeks from today. College Board has stated that they may allow testing at a later date in May to account for time lost. That said, we still do not know for certain how much instructional time we will lose and AP classes are on a testing timeline that is unique from state-level testing. I do not want you all to fall behind to the point that your AP testing performance is negatively impacted. My priority is always your well-being, but I also know how much work you all have put into our course up to this point. I do not want to see your efforts be in vain if you are unprepared by having gaps in your knowledge, so continue to practice self-discipline. Best wishes to you and your family! -Mr. Todd LAND USE AND URBANIZATION
